XPN Fibres Complex – 500 g

Medicinal ingredients (per serving):

• Ground flaxseed (Linum usitatissimum, seed): 5 g
• Apple (Malus domestica, fruit): 5 g
• Inulin (Cichorium intybus, root): 2 g
• Pectin (Malus domestica, fruit): 1.5 g
• L-Glutamine: 1 g

Licorice (ratio 4:1)… 0.35 g Equivalent to 1.4 g of Glycyrrhiza glabra roots and stolons

Non-medicinal ingredients: Natural flavour, citric acid, Stevia rebaudiana leaves.

Recommended uses or purposes: Source of fibre for the maintenance of good health. Gently relieves occasional constipation and/or irregularity. Used in herbal medicine to help relieve inflammatory conditions of the digestive tract, such as gastritis. Source of antioxidants. Provides antioxidants that help reduce oxidative damage caused by free radicals.

Recommended dose: 1 serving, once a day. For each dose, drink (or mix with) at least 150 mL of liquid. Take two hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products, as the absorption of these products may be delayed.

Duration of use: Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 4 to 6 weeks. An adequate intake of specific fibres is a good way to regulate your intestinal flora and keep it at an optimal level. Constipation is a sign that your intestine is not working as well as it should.

Cautions and warnings: Consult a health care practitioner immediately if you experience chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty swallowing or breathing after taking this product. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have difficulty swallowing or if you have diabetes. If you notice sudden changes in bowel habits that persist beyond 2 weeks, in case of undiagnosed rectal bleeding, or if the use of another laxative did not result in a bowel movement, consult a health care practitioner prior to using this product. If you are taking medications that inhibit peristaltic movement, consult a health care practitioner prior to use (e.g. opioids, loperamide). If you have abdominal pain, nausea, fever or vomiting (these symptoms may be signs of abnormal constriction of the gastrointestinal tract, disease of the esophagus and/or the upper opening of the stomach (cardia), existing or potential bowel obstruction, paralysis of the bowel, megacolon, fecal impaction, inflammation of the colon or appendicitis), consult a health care practitioner prior to use. If symptoms worsen or if constipation persists beyond 7 days of use, consult a health care practitioner. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have a liver disorder. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are following a low-protein diet.

Contraindications: Do not use if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or any other medication that may worsen electrolyte imbalance. Do not use if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, or cardiovascular or kidney disorders.

Known adverse reactions: Hypersensitivity, such as an allergy, may occur. If so, discontinue use. May cause flatulence and/or bloating. Gut health is essential, but few people really know how to keep it healthy.
